Role DescriptionArcadis is working across major capital investment programmes across Northern England (multi‑million and multi‑billion £ schemes) in the infrastructure, transportation and buildings sectors. The role sits within the Cost & Commercial team and involves providing solutions for key clients across the transportation, infrastructure, energy and buildings sectors. Responsibilities span from feasibility, cost estimation, procurement and tendering to post‑contract and whole‑life costing/carbon accounting services.
RoleAccountabilities
- Hold client‑facing delivery roles working directly with key customers for major projects within the infrastructure and transportation sectors, delivering best‑practice cost and commercial solutions.
- Bring cost and commercial management expertise and learning to major projects, integrating multidisciplinary teams to provide value‑adding commercial solutions.
- Act as an ambassador for Arcadis’ digital controls solutions, collaborating with data science and analytics teams to deliver transformative digital cost control solutions.
- Participate actively within Arcadis’ Global Cost & Commercial community, supporting growth and development of yourself, colleagues and industry partners.
- Professional quantity surveying experience across infrastructure, transportation, energy and/or buildings sectors.
- Experience and qualifications in cost estimation / cost planning, tendering and procurement, contracts (preferably NEC, ideally NEC4 accredited), post‑contract cost control, whole‑life costing and carbon quantification and reporting. A solid understanding across these areas is required, though not all may be mandatory.
- Experience working across the supply chain, including client‑side, consultant, contractor and design perspectives.
- Experience across all stages of the project/programme life cycle: mobilisation, set‑up, delivery, handover and benefits realisation.
- Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Professional accreditation such as MRICS, MICES or equivalent.
- Desirable: NEC4 Practitioner qualification.
