Position: SEND Teacher (Contract)
SEND Teacher – Ready to teach where it truly matters?

Some teachers don’t just deliver lessons.
They change lives.

SEND classrooms need patience, creativity, calm thinking, and teachers who see potential where others see challenge.

If you’re thinking about moving into SEND, this could be the role that makes you remember why you started teaching in the first place.

You’ll work with pupils who thrive with structure, trust, and a teacher who celebrates every step forward, big or small. Whether your experience includes ASD, SEMH, PMLD, or you’re ready to bring your classroom skills into a specialist setting, we’d love to hear from you.

What your days might look like:

• Adapting lessons to suit the child, not the timetable

• Building real trust with pupils who need consistency

• Working alongside brilliant TAs, SENCOs, and support teams

• Turning tricky moments into meaningful progress

What we’re looking for:

• QTS or strong teaching experience

• A calm, compassionate approach, especially on the tougher days

• Confidence adapting your teaching style to different needs

• Someone who believes every child deserves to feel safe, understood, and supported

What you’ll get with Protocol

Education:

• Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella companies, no faff

• Free access to our CPD Academy

• A dedicated consultant who actually listens

• Opportunities across SEND, specialist, and alternative provisions

Quick question… are you Thrive trained?
If not, no worries. We offer free Thrive training, something schools genuinely value and pupils benefit from every day.

If you’re ready for a role that’s challenging, rewarding, and full of those small wins that mean everything, let’s talk.
