Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant – LS9, Leeds
A welcoming school based in LS9, Leeds is seeking a caring and reliable Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs. This role involves working closely with teachers to provide classroom support and helping pupils reach their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment.
Role Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
Assist the class teacher in supporting learning activities in the classroom.
Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, and independence.
Support pupils with social, emotional, and communication needs.
Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment.
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable.
A patient, supportive, and positive attitude.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and supporting pupil wellbeing.
