DescriptionFor September 2026, Thornton College is seeking to appoint a part‑time Teacher of Mathematics to teach across the ability range at KS3, KS4 and KS5, including Further Mathematics. The post is for 2 days per week, which may be timetabled across three days.
Key Information- Our 2024 CSI Inspection judged the school to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas and our most recent (2025) ISI Inspection commented positively on the ‘rapid’ academic progress made by students across the school and the ‘high levels of self‑esteem and self‑confidence' evident in the student body.
- We are accredited by both NACE and the British Council (International Schools Award) and in 2025 were shortlisted as Independent Girls’ School of the Year.
- Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Teach Mathematics across the ability range at KS3, KS4 and KS5, including Further Mathematics.
- Deliver lessons over 2 days per week, scheduled across three days.
- Inspire and challenge students to develop into highly effective, independent learners and achieve their potential as individuals.
- Teaching qualification and a passion for Mathematics.
- Experience of teaching at KS3‑5 preferred, but ECT and developing teachers are welcomed.
