Join our SEMH school in Orpington, dedicated to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. We are committed to helping our students achieve their full potential through tailored educational programs and comprehensive support services.
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for Year 3 students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
- Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and other professionals to meet the needs of each student.
- Foster strong relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and self-esteem.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with school policies.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of primary education and the national curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable.
