St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School is seeking an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to join our leadership team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, values-driven leader who is ready to shape the future of a thriving Catholic primary school community.

Working closely with the Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in:
- Providing inspirational leadership and modelling exceptional practice
- Driving high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour
- Leading key areas of school improvement in line with your strengths
- Nurturing staff development and future leadership capacity
- Supporting the spiritual life of the school community
This role offers genuine scope to influence, innovate and grow as a senior leader, within a school that values collaboration, professional trust and reflective practice.

- Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a passion for learning
- Has high expectations for all pupils and a strong moral purpose
- Is ready to take on whole-school leadership responsibility
- Builds strong, respectful relationships with pupils, staff, parents and governors
- Is committed to continuous professional development and leadership growth
Experience in Early Years and/or Upper Key Stage 2, and leadership of Religious Education, would be advantageous.
