Learner Engagement Manager
Salary: £35,000 £ 40,000
Location: West Yorkshire (Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Wakefield)
Contract: Full-time Permanent Hybrid
Are you an experienced Learner Engagement or Employability professional who is passionate about widening access to funded training and supporting adults into sustainable employment? This is a high-impact opportunity to lead learner engagement activity across Adult Skills, ASF, AEB, and Skills Bootcamp programmes throughout West Yorkshire. This role places you at the centre of learner recruitment, outreach, and onboarding, where your work directly influences participation, progression, and employment outcomes for individuals and communities.

You will be joining a well-established training provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality Employability, Adult Skills, ASF (Adult Skills Fund), AEB, and Skills Bootcamp programmes across West Yorkshire. The organisation works closely with Jobcentre Plus, local authorities, community organisations, employers, and funding bodies to ensure learners are supported into training that leads to real outcomes. As a Learner Engagement Manager, you will take ownership of learner recruitment activity across multiple funded programmes. You will manage the full learner journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment, ensuring eligibility compliance, strong conversion rates, and a positive learner experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing high-volume learner enquiries across Adult Skills and Skills Bootcamp programmes
- Conducting learner screening, eligibility checks, and suitability assessments
- Driving learner recruitment through outreach activity with Job centres, councils, and community partners
- Promoting ASF, AEB, and Skills Bootcamp provision through digital and face-to-face engagement
- Managing learner pipelines and multiple cohorts simultaneously
- Ensuring all learner documentation, evidence, and compliance requirements are met
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and reporting on engagement performance
- Working closely with delivery, quality, funding, and operations teams to ensure learner readiness and retention
- Representing learner engagement at events, job fairs, and partner meetings
This is a hybrid role, with regular travel across Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, and Wakefield.

You will bring:- Proven experience in Learner Engagement, Employability, Admissions, or IAG roles
- Strong understanding of Adult Skills, ASF, AEB, or Skills Bootcamp funding
- A track record of achieving learner start or participant recruitment targets
- Experience working with Jobcentre Plus and community-based partners
- Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confidence using CRM systems and data to track engagement and conversion
- A learner-centred, proactive, and outcome-focused mindset
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally is essential.
