About the RoleThis is a Full-Time, Long-Term position for a dedicated Mathematics Specialist, starting ASAP. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring that all pupils—regardless of their starting point—make exceptional progress. This role isn't just about following a curriculum; it's about creating an environment where curiosity is encouraged and mathematical fluency is the standard.
You will work closely with a supportive department to design interventions, track data, and foster a love for STEM subjects.

Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- A strong understanding of the current GCSE Mathematics specifications.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Data Literacy: Using student data to inform planning and targeted interventions.
- Communication: Articulating complex concepts in an accessible, engaging manner.
- Adaptability: Tailoring teaching styles to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Collaboration: Working effectively within a large, multidisciplinary team.
- Empathy: Building strong rapport with students from varied socio-economic backgrounds.
- Patience: Supporting students who find mathematical concepts challenging.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Maintain a positive and disciplined learning environment in line with school policy.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations through rigorous revision and mock assessments.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of schemes of work.
- Identify and support students with SEN or EAL requirements within the classroom.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress.
- Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral support and guidance to a dedicated group of students.
- Utilise educational technology to enhance the learning experience.
