Leeds City College have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Teacher of Hairdressing and Barbering to join the Hair department here at our Printworks Campus.
As a Hair team member, you will provide a quality, inspirational learning experience to Hair and Barbering students that replicates industry standards. You will be a supportive member of the team and embrace future initiatives that will enhance our students’ journey. You will be passionate about providing learning opportunities for all to support students in developing skills and knowledge within the industry.
This is a part-time (18.5 hours) contract.
The suitable candidate must be available to work Mondays.
- Holds an L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE) or is willing to work towards it.
- Relevant highest-level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject.
- Relevant up-to-date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector.
- Experience of setting appropriate SMART targets to ensure progression of learners.
- Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance the learning journey and learner progression.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum.
