Job Description & How to Apply Below

Do you thrive on the dynamic conversations and "lightbulb moments" that happen in the upper primary classroom?

Are you ready to trade the pressure of SATs data and staff meetings for the simple joy of teaching?

Do you want the freedom to shape your working week around your life, rather than the other way around?

If you answered "yes" to the above, Randstad Education has the role for you. We are currently experiencing a surge in demand from our partner schools across Leeds for confident and capable Key Stage 2 Teachers
. Whether you enjoy the inquisitive nature of Year 3 or the academic focus of Year 6, we have daily and long-term opportunities waiting for you.

We are looking for practitioners who can hit the ground running, commanding the room with confidence and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire older primary students.

About the Role

As a dedicated KS2 Supply Teacher, you will be the backbone of the school day, ensuring learning continues seamlessly in the absence of the class teacher. Your duties will include:

  • Delivering challenging and structured lessons across Years 3 to 6.
  • Supporting students with the more complex demands of the KS2 curriculum, particularly in Maths and Literacy
    .
  • Managing behaviour effectively, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect and focus.
  • Helping students develop the independence and resilience needed for secondary transition.
  • Ensuring all work is marked and feedback is left for the returning teacher with zero take-home planning required.
What we are looking for
  • Qualification: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience: Proven experience within Key Stage 2 is essential (knowledge of the Year 6 SATs curriculum is a bonus but not mandatory).
  • Presence: Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage older children.
  • Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) and two professional references.
Why work with Randstad Education?
  • Total Flexibility: Use our app to set your availability instantly, work as little or as often as you like.
  • Fair Pay: We pay competitive daily rates weekly via PAYE (ensuring you don't lose money to umbrella company fees).
  • Expert Support: You will have a dedicated Leeds-based consultant who listens to your career goals.
  • Referral Scheme: We offer £300 in shopping vouchers for every teacher you recommend to us!
How to Apply

If you want to enjoy the rewards of teaching KS2 without the burnout of a permanent contract, please apply today with your CV.

Randstad Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check and referencing.
