Role OverviewWe are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Your Accounting and Finance expertise can ignite a passion for learning. Whatyou'll be doing
- Planning, delivering, and assessing student work to ensure all learning outcomes are met
- Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate
- Using a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials
- Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties
- Keeping up to date with the latest developments in your field and student support practices
- Working towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression
- Hold a Master's degree in an Accounting and Finance field obtained in the UK or equivalent; full member of PSRB (PhD desirable)
- Have previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
- Have experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback
- Have experience of accurate reporting and maintain thorough and organised student records
- Can work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills
- Can work with diverse groups of people
- Hold a Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
- Be fully qualified from PSRB affiliates such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA
- 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays
- 1 day extra leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days
