We are currently seeking lecturers to teach across undergraduate levels in the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Due to our delivery model, we require flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. Responsibilities- All aspects of planning, delivering and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.
- Developing, updating and improving course materials as appropriate.
- Using a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
- Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties.
- Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
- Working towards clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression.
- Master’s degree in an accounting and finance field obtained in the UK or equivalent from PSRBs, with a full membership (PhD desirable).
- Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation and Audit or similar subjects.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Experience of accurate reporting and maintaining thorough and organised student records.
- Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years, or Fellowship of HEA or international equivalent.
- Fully qualified from PSRBs such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and/or IFA.
- 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays.
