Weare inviting applications to fill our Senior Clinical Fellow vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Department of Urology which is full-timefixed-term for 12 months.
Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and must hold MRCS atthe time of application. Candidates should preferably hold the FRCS(Urol) or equivalent. The successful candidate will be able pursue sub-specialty post-CCTlevel training in Andrological Urology.

Main duties of the jobDUTIESOF THE POST
To perform clinic duties appropriate to the post. These include attendance at outpatient clinics, attendance atday-case and inpatient theatre lists, attendance at clinical meetings including
MDTs and maintenance of appropriate records of treatments, including thedictation of clinical notes and letters.
To contribute to the teaching ofnursing, undergraduate and junior medical staff.
To contribute to Post-graduateteaching.
The appointee will also have toperform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate Consultant, in consultation, when practicable, withboth senior and junior colleagues. Ithas been agreed between the profession and the Department of Health that, whilejuniors accept that they will perform such duties, additional commitmentsarising under this sub-section are particular, juniors should not be required to undertake work of thisnature for prolonged periods or on a regular basis.
The specific job plan will be subjectto regular review between the appointee and the consultant.

Jobresponsibilities
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Thisis a non-training grade Trust Doctor Post, which has been established toprovide the opportunity for an individual to gain post-CCT specialist training in Urology with excellent training to develop knowledge and further experience.
Themain purpose for the post is to further develop Urological skills whilstsupporting Service Delivery.
Candidates
Must hold FRCS (Urol) or equivalent.
Be eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practice
Should have evidence of achievement
CCT in Urology or within 6 months of doing so.
Be eligible to work in the UK
Have previous experience at registrar level in Urology
Demonstrate the ability to operateeffectively under pressure & remain objective in highly emotive/pressurisedsituations
Be aware of their own limitations& when to ask for help
Have the capacity to communicate effectively & sensitively with others
Be able to discuss treatment options with patients in a way they can understand
Have the capacity to bring a range ofapproaches to problem solving
Demonstrate effective judgement and decision-making skills
Have the capacity to work effectively in a Multi-Disciplinary Team
Have the capacity to establish good working relations with others
Have the capacity to manage time and prioritise workload, balance urgent & important demands, follow instructions

Demonstratesawareness of ethical principles, safety, confidentiality & consent.
Person Specification Eligibility, Fitness to practice, and Language Skills- Be eligible for full registration with, and hold a current licence to practise from, the GMC at intended start date
