Overview
Clinical Fellow with interest in Endometriosis. Applicants are invited for posts as Senior Clinical Fellows (ST6+ equivalent) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with interest in Endometriosis in Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly, dynamic, large, teaching acute hospital trust. Up to three posts are available.
The post holder will work at a level equivalent to that of a ST6+ trainee. Applicants must have completed Foundation competencies either as part of the UK Foundation programme or demonstrate equivalent training. Applicants should ideally have experience at working at a ST6+ level for a minimum of 6 months, ideally within the UK. Basic Life Support training is essential.
Candidates will require current and valid GMC registration. Candidates will be encouraged to register and complete pelvic pain SITM.
Main duties of the jobThe above post is suitable for doctors wishing to gain clinical experience at a ST6+ level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The post offers the successful candidate a wide range of experience in all areas of the specialty. Whilst this post is not recognised for training, the appointee will be supported by a Clinical Supervisor to meet their career and educational goals.
There will be opportunities to develop special interests in the following areas:
Clinical Fellow in Endometriosis (ST6+ Equivalent)
This post is for a Clinical Fellow in Endometriosis, suitable for doctors working at ST6/7 equivalent level, depending on prior experience and demonstrated competencies.
The successful applicant will work within a British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) accredited Endometriosis Centre, gaining advanced experience in the multidisciplinary management of complex endometriosis, including surgical, medical, research, and service-development aspects of care.
The post carries a 60% time allocation with the Endometriosis Team, in addition to participation in:
Full on-call commitments at LGI or St James’s University Hospital (SJUH)
One Antenatal Clinic (ANC) session per week
This post is ideal for candidates wishing to develop expertise in endometriosis and progress towards subspecialist practice, advanced fellowship training, or consultant-level roles within endometriosis services.
