Locum Consultant in Gynaecology (Colposcopy) within Women's Gynaecology Department atSt Jamess University Hospital.
Thisis a 10 PA locum appointment for a Consultant Gynaecologist at St Jamess Hospital.
The post will be available immediately for a period of 6 months with extension to 12 months upon satisfactory review.
Weare seeking dynamic, passionate, and innovative applicants to join our dedicated team in Leeds as a Consultant Gynaecologist. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive gynaecological care in various areas, including thecolposcopy service, gynaecology clinic, Gynaecology Acute Treatment Unit(GATU), ambulatory gynaecology, and the operating theatre.
Inthis role, you will collaborate with a friendly and motivated team committed to recovering and continuously improving gynaecological services, ensuring excellent patient care. There will be opportunities to participate in exciting service development projects tailored to your interests and skills, supported by a strong focus on professional growth.
Main duties of the jobThis requires delivering clinical services as agreed with stakeholders while focusing on quality and efficiency, meeting clinical outcome objectives, and adhering to service standards such as waiting times and infection control. Youwill lead the colposcopy service, conduct regular clinics, supervise nursecolposcopists, and ensure quality assurance through organizing multidisciplinary team meetings and liaising with Public Health England.
Youshould have experience in gynaecology and colposcopy, along with proven leadership and team collaboration skills. You will be managed by your specialty

The successful applicant should possess MRCOG (or equivalent) and should be included on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT at the time of interview, if currently within a training programme within the UK. In accordance with the consultant appointment regulations, all other categories ofdoctors must be on the Specialist Register.
Astrong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and a researchinterest is desirable.

Jobresponsibilities
Thisis a 10 PA appointment for a Locum Consultant Gynaecologist. The post will bebased at St Jamess University Hospital. This post has been created to lead andhelp deliver the Colposcopy Service in Leeds. There will also be an expectation to support the local cancer service managing early endometrial cancers and borderline ovarian lesions.
