Mental Health Service (CYPMHS)

This is an exciting time as Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services (CYPMHS, formerly known as CAMHS) in Leeds undergoes a redesign. You will bring excellent leadership, enthusiasm and strategic skills to help solve challenges and shape the future of the service.

You will showcase advanced interpersonal skills, be approachable and welcoming, and demonstrate a positive approach to the assessment and treatment of children and young people with a range of presentations within our Core and Learning Disability services.

You will hold a caseload, support new assessments, and reviews. You will be a motivated and reliable colleague, committed to developing the teams, and will provide clinical leadership and support for local and whole service MDTs.

The post is for 10 sessions p/w. We encourage those wishing to work part-time or in a job share to apply. There are on-call responsibilities with this post.

You will have an identified base but will be expected to work across the city. Effective communication skills are essential. Previous knowledge of healthcare systems would be beneficial, although training will be provided.

You will work within GMC guidance for working in multi-agency and multi-disciplinary teams and will be expected to work flexibly to meet service needs. The ability to travel is essential, along with a flexible and adaptable attitude to your daily work and emerging priorities.

You will have the opportunity to be active in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and develop appropriate research interests and applicants must be on the Specialist Register.
