General OverviewEQUANS are recruiting for an Apprentice Customer Service Advisor to be based in Holbeck, Leeds. The successful candidate will undertake a Customer Service Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Apprentice Customer Service Advisor supports the smooth running of customer interactions for the business, learning to deliver high‑quality service to clients, partners, and other stakeholders. The position is responsible for handling customer queries, supporting project teams, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation of issues. Under close supervision, the apprentice develops core customer service skills, understanding the construction business’s values and procedures.
KeyAccountabilities
- Assist customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams with queries relating to projects, services, and contracts.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, ensuring accurate, polite, and helpful responses.
- Record and monitor customer feedback and complaints, escalating issues as required.
- Support the collection, tracking, and reporting of customer service metrics.
- Maintain accurate records in company systems, helping ensure compliance with relevant standards and policies.
- Participate actively in training, mentoring, and development activities to build technical, service, and communication capabilities.
- Contribute ideas for improving service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Promote and uphold the company’s health, safety, equality, and environmental standards.

- Age 16 or above (to comply with apprenticeship and safeguarding regulations)
- Willingness to undertake Customer Service apprenticeship training and gain relevant qualification
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic IT literacy (email, word processing, company systems)
- Positive attitude towards learning and teamwork
- Commitment to health, safety, and equality standards
- Previous work experience, summer job, or voluntary position in a customer‑facing environment
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (typically required for apprenticeship eligibility)
- Interest in construction, property, or built environment sectors
- Experience using CRM or call logging systems
