Part Time Learning Assistant in Media (Term Time Only)

The School of Hair, Beauty and Creative are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible person to join their team at the Luton Campus as a Learning Assistant in Media.

Responsibilities:

• Support teaching staff and students in classroom activities including video production and editing, audio production, graphic design & visual content, animation & motion graphics, digital and web media, social media & content management, equipment and technical support.
• Supervise and coach students in workshops, providing hands‑on assistance and guidance.
• Prepare classrooms, workshops, assessment areas and resources; ensure equipment and stock are maintained and meet industry requirements.
• Assist students with practical work and final project work, sharing industry experience to enhance employability.
• Manage stock, demonstrate safe equipment use, and coordinate booking and allocation of equipment.
• Promote professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.

Qualifications and

Experience:

• Relevant qualifications in Creative Media; industry experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects.
• Strong communication skills, capable of interpreting technical information and teaching it clearly.
• Professional manner, good communication skills, and a sense of responsibility.

Working hours:

33 hours per week, 34 weeks per year (term time only).

Closing date:
Friday 20th March 2026. Successful candidate joins in August 2026.
