Civils Site Agent

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Site Agent on behalf of a large civil engineering main contractor to oversee delivery of projects across West Yorkshire.

This professional and ambitious contractor deliver key infrastructure solutions to a host of clients. They've gained a reputation as an employer for their high standards & supportive work environment and growth of staff. In recent years they've won various awards externally including HSE best practice, social value and specific project awards from Civil Engineering industry groups. A forward thinking regional team - many of which have come from Tier 1 & Tier 2 backgrounds in the industry.

Initial projects are from £500k to £5m in value and delivered for local authority clients as part of a busy framework agreement. Projects include: highways, street works, junction improvements, s278 works, public realm, deep drainage and structures. All future works regional - no working away.

Responsibilities as Site Agent / Manager:

* Manage project at all setup & site stages

* Writing & updating site documentation

* Cost control with commercial team

* Programming work phases

* Construction Phase Plans

* Attend & hold meetings on sites with stakeholders

* Temporary Works supervision / coordination

* Management of sub-contractors & direct labour

* Project & progress reports

* Involvement with contract changes from site level

* H&S file updates & audits on site

* Coordination of site team including Site Supervisor & Site Engineer

* Keeping site file up to date regularly

Experience required:

* Candidates must have proven experience at Site Manager / Site Agent level with a principal contractor on Civil Engineering / Highways projects (values £1m+)

* Site Engineer background is advantageous

* Experience with contract changes, NEC3 / NEC4, cost control desired.

* Industry related qualification is essential (HNC/HND or Degree).

* Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and Full Driver's License.

Remuneration:

A salary of up to £65,000 (dependent upon experience) plus:
