Quantity Surveyor – Residential Construction Main Contractor | Permanent | £50-£65k  Car Allowance I'm currently working with a well-established and growing residential main contractor who is looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an experienced Quantity Surveyor . This is a business with a strong pipeline of work across high-quality housing and apartment schemes, a solid reputation in the market, and a genuinely good culture – low turnover, supportive leadership, and realistic workloads.

They're now looking for a Quantity Surveyor who can take ownership of projects from pre-contract through to final account and play a key role in the commercial success of the business.

The Role You'll be responsible for the full commercial management of one or more residential projects, including:
Full cost management of projects from tender to final account Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers Valuations, variations, and change control Subcontractor account management and payments Final accounts and project close-out Working closely with site and project management teams What They're Looking For Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor Strong background in residential construction (housing, apartments, mixed-use) Good commercial and contractual knowledge Confident managing your own projects and dealing with subcontractors Well organised, commercially aware, and proactive in approach To be considered for this role please apply with your CV, or for more information please contact Jenny Saban in our Cambridge office
