We're looking for a Social Value Advisor to join our Kier Construction Scotland team based in Glasgow.

Location:

Glasgow, Scotland – flexible working; you will need to be able to travel across projects and offices in Scotland.

Hours:

37.5 per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

As our new Social Value Advisor, you'll be a key link between Kier Construction and our local communities, ensuring our commitment to social sustainability is delivered and evidenced. Working closely with our Social Value Manager, you'll assess requirements and opportunities to create meaningful impact through our projects, making a genuine difference to people's lives.

What will you be responsible for?
  • Supporting projects with delivery of employment and skills initiatives and monitoring their progress
  • Working collaboratively with our supply chain to ensure delivery targets are met
  • Collecting and recording accurate social value data using our Thrive calculator
  • Representing Kier at community events, career fairs, and school engagements
  • Creating engaging case studies that showcase our positive social impact
What are we looking for?
  • You have experience in a similar role, ideally within construction or engineering
  • You're passionate about social sustainability and community engagement
  • You have excellent communication skills and enjoy building relationships
  • You're well‑organised with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • You're both self‑sufficient and a nurturing team player
