We Build Recruitment are now searching for an experienced Estimator on behalf of our client, a leading North West based office fit out company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for office fit-out project.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of fit-out construction methods, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects from first principles.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce accurate take-offs.
  • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and constraints.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving options.
  • Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with the design, commercial and operations teams during pre-construction.
  • Assess project risks and incorporate appropriate allowances.
  • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings as required
  • Support handover to the project delivery team upon successful award.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in estimating within the interior fit-out sector.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial office and high-end interior projects.
  • Proficient in measurement and cost planning.
  • Experience using estimating software and Excel-based pricing models.
  • Good understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement routes.
  • Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar (preferred).
