A well-established Housing Association based in Yorkshire with an office in Leeds is seeking an experienced Responsive Repairs Surveyor to join their team on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive surveying professional to support the delivery of high-quality responsive repairs and maintenance services across a varied housing stock.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing responsive repair works from inspection through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Working closely with contractors, residents, and internal teams, you will play a key role in maintaining homes and delivering a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out property inspections and diagnose repair issues

* Specify works and raise orders for responsive repairs

* Manage contractor performance and monitor quality on site

* Ensure works comply with health & safety and regulatory requirements

* Handle technical queries and provide surveying advice

* Support disrepair cases and complex repairs where required

* Maintain accurate records and update housing systems

About You

* Proven experience in a responsive repairs or maintenance surveying role

* Background in social housing, local authority, or housing association environments

* Strong technical knowledge of residential building defects and repairs

* Experience managing contractors and monitoring performance

* Good understanding of H&S and compliance requirements

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Relevant qualification in building surveying or construction (desirable)
