Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor

Texo Recruitment are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead

SEND commercial management of construction projects, ensuring strong cost control, effective contract administration, and successful financial delivery. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and the supply chain to maximise value and minimise risk across projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial and financial management of construction projects
  • Procure, manage and administer subcontractors from tender to final account
  • Prepare, submit and manage external valuations through to final account agreement
  • Assess, certify and process subcontractor payments accurately and on time
  • Produce internal valuations, cost forecasts and cost value reconciliations
  • Measure quantities from drawings and site, including variations and provisional sums
  • Monitor project costs, identify risks, delays and changes, and manage them effectively
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions (e.g. JCT, NEC)
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting
  • Support and advise project teams on cost control and contractual matters
  • (Senior level) Provide leadership, mentoring and development support to junior surveyors
Qualifications & Experience
  • HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Built Environment or equivalent
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in the construction sector ideally with new‑build homes / care homes
  • Strong working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Strong commercial awareness and numerical manufacturing
  • Must be comfortable travelling to Bridlington –

  • Clear and professional communication at all levels
