The Role 3>We're seeking an experienced Executive Search Consultant to build and manage a portfolio of retained search clients in the construction sector. This role focuses on securing and executing retained search assignments for C-suite, VP, and Director-level positions within leading construction.
Key Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities and secure retained search assignments through strategic outreach and relationship building with construction industry leaders [For contingent version :
Manage contingent search assignments with approved clients, ensuring clear terms of engagement] - Create compelling retained search proposals and lead client pitch presentations [For contingent version :
Qualify new contingent opportunities and negotiate favorable terms] - Build strong business cases for retained search partnerships and demonstrate ROI to potential clients [Remove for contingent version]
- Establish fee structures and negotiate retainer agreements with new clients [For contingent version :
Manage fee negotiations for contingent assignments] - Develop and maintain relationships with C-level executives and board members in the construction industry
- Foster long-term relationships with C-suite candidates, maintaining regular contact and understanding their career aspirations
- Lead full-cycle executive search processes, from initial client engagement through successful placement and onboarding
- Create detailed position specifications and candidate assessment frameworks aligned with clients' strategic objectives
- Conduct in-depth interviews and assessments of executive candidates
- Present comprehensive candidate evaluations and make strategic hiring recommendations to client stakeholders
- Negotiate complex compensation packages and facilitate offer processes
- Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and expanded relationships with existing clients
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for retained search assignments [For contingent version :

- 2+ years of executive search experience, with a proven track record of winning retained search business [For contingent version : with a proven track record of successful contingent placements]
- Demonstrated success in completing C-level and VP-level searches for construction companies

Strong business development skills in contingent recruitment] - Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with C-suite executives
- Deep understanding of the construction industry
- Established network of construction industry executives and decision-makers
- Outstanding negotiation and closing skills
- Prior experience in construction industry leadership roles
- Proven track record of converting contingent clients to retained partnerships
- Knowledge of construction technology and emerging industry trends
- Experience with diversity recruitment initiatives in the construction sector
- Background in management consulting or construction business development
- Highly competitive base salary plus significant commission structure on retainer fees and successful placements
