Business Development Manager – Leeds Overview

We are supporting a high-growth specialty MGA as it builds out its regional trading presence in the North. As part of this investment, we are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to take ownership of the Leeds broker market and help drive the next phase of growth.

This is a rare opportunity to join a business that is combining the agility of an MGA with strong underwriting capacity and long-term ambition. You will be instrumental in establishing and growing a Leeds presence, working closely with senior trading underwriters across a broad commercial product set.

• Own and develop the Leeds broker market, building strong, visible relationships
• Generate and manage a sustainable pipeline of new business across Commercial Combined, PI, D&O and Real Estate
• Work closely with trading underwriters to convert opportunities into profitable income
• Deliver regular face-to-face broker meetings and account reviews
• Represent the business at market events and within the local broker community
• Maintain accurate pipeline and activity reporting through CRM

• Proven BDM or sales professional within commercial insurance or an MGA environment
• Strong, established relationships with Leeds-based brokers
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a market presence
• Experience selling commercial lines and non-e-traded business
• Comfortable operating independently in a regional role
