We’re looking for a Change Portfolio & Business Management Analyst to join our CIO Business Management Team on a 9 Month Fixed Term Contract, to support the effective delivery of change across the organisation.
This is a hybrid role with 1‑2 days per month based at either our Manchester or Leeds office.
Working within the CIO Business Management Team, this role brings together two key areas:
- Change Portfolio Office (CPO): supporting the governance, reporting and continuous improvement of our change delivery frameworks (Agile and Waterfall), and providing guidance to Delivery Leads, Programme and Project Managers
- CIO Business Management: coordinating and delivering centralised CIO‑wide business management and operational activities

You’ll play a key part in ensuring our change portfolio is well governed, transparent and aligned to strategic priorities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing PMO‑style support to programmes and projects, including governance forums and steering committees
- Supporting resource and demand management activities across the change portfolio
- Managing business case and benefits tracking to ensure robust governance and clear outcomes
- Maintaining and enhancing change delivery frameworks, processes and associated documentation
- Supporting portfolio‑level reporting, management information and board‑level updates
- Coordinating change control processes and portfolio dependencies
- Carrying out project and programme health checks and tracking actions to completion
- Supporting financial tracking, time recording and performance insights across the portfolio
- Supporting CIO‑wide business management activities and processes
- Maintaining business management documentation and digital hubs
- Coordinating CIO‑wide communications, town halls and engagement activity
- Managing centralised CIO starters, movers and leavers processes
- Monitoring completion of mandatory learning across the CIO function
- Contributing to internal newsletters and wider colleague communications
- Representing the team at relevant working groups and communities of practice
We’re looking for someone who brings strong organisation, attention to detail and confidence working across a complex stakeholder environment.
Essential- Experience working within a Portfolio Management Office or Business Management function
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- P3O or PRINCE2 qualification (or actively studying towards one)
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
- Comfortable working autonomously, with the judgement to elevate when appropriate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with both Agile and traditional delivery approaches
- Familiarity with project and portfolio management tools (e.g. Planview)
- Strong Excel skills (including formulas and macros)
- Strong PowerPoint, Word and Visio skills, with the ability to produce high‑quality outputs
