Our Purpose

House of Hackney is a restoration project rooted in Nature, Craft, Community and Awe! Inspired by nature’s living systems, we use creativity and business as catalysts to regenerate our common home.

We are deeply committed to shifting from being a B Corp sustainable business to a truly regenerative one, giving back more than we take. We are a work in progress and the successful candidate will have an innovative and proactive approach in everything they do to support this commitment and our wider mission.

The Role

The Digital Trading Manager will own the e‑commerce sales channel, operating across both Retail and Trade (B2B) customers. The role involves forecasting e‑commerce sales performance and executing digital content and visual merchandising to support that forecast. The manager must understand commercial and brand priorities and actively optimise the e‑commerce experience to maximise performance.

This role will manage the trading calendar and the digital execution of all launches—including new season, capsule collections and other initiatives—optimising the digital customer journey from initial discovery to conversion. The manager will work closely with the Digital Product Manager and lead the Ecommerce Coordinator to ensure campaigns are executed with excellence across all digital touchpoints, covering the UK/RoW and North America sites.

  • Oversee and coordinate product launches, working in tandem with the Digital Product Manager and collaborating with the Merchandising, Operations and Content teams.
  • Manage the search strategy (organic and paid) in conjunction with an external search consultant.
  • Use analytics to make data‑driven decisions on initiatives that drive recruitment, repeat purchase and overall conversion.
  • Collaborate with regional Trade teams and other departments to continually optimise the digital user experience. Work closely with the Digital Product Manager to prioritise development updates.
  • Support the team with end‑to‑end testing of new site fixes and features, including liaising with the development agency.

  • Comprehensive understanding of analysis tools such as GA4, Hot Jar and CXP platforms.
  • Strong business judgement and decision‑making skills; ability to identify, prioritise and articulate highest‑impact initiatives.
