Our client, a well-established food manufacturing business is seeking a Buying Analyst to support the procurement and buying function through accurate data analysis, reporting, and commercial insight. This role plays a key part in cost control, supplier performance monitoring, and supporting informed purchasing decisions within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Working closely with Buying, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations teams to analyse spend, identify trends, and highlight opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.

Key responsibilities include analysing purchasing and spend data, maintaining accurate reports and dashboards, supporting pricing and margin analysis, monitoring supplier performance, and assisting with forecasting and budgeting activities. You will also support buyers with data-led insights, maintain system accuracy, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement.

Our ideal candidate will have experience in a buying, procurement, supply chain or analytical role within food manufacturing or FMCG. Strong Excel and data analysis skills are essential, with the ability to interpret large data sets and present clear insights. A commercially focused mindset is more important than experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments are key to success in this role.
