AboutThe Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales and working closely with the Regional Directors and their leadership teams, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for the Chinese category sales team across UK&I and its performance. You will manage a team of Field Sales Executives, ensuring they hit their sales targets and support the Regional managers to translate local knowledge to your team’s priorities.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Manage your team of direct reports to map, prospect, pitch and close the highest potential restaurants across your region.
- Work with commercial teams to structure complex deals and negotiate effectively with restaurants to achieve the best outcomes for Deliveroo.
- Own overall pipeline management in your region with regular reviews.
- Communicate Deliveroo’s value proposition to restaurants through visits, emails, calls and social media and keep senior stakeholders informed of progress.
- Lead in‑field coaching sessions, set clear and challenging goals, and embed best practices.
- Hire, onboard and train top‑tier talent, role‑modeling best practices and embedding tools, processes and rules of engagement.
- Manage underperformance via PiPs in close collaboration with HR.
- Identify field‑based insights and work with the Head of Sales to roll out improvements (e.g., Salesforce efficiencies).
- Align on regional priorities with RMs/CMs and support BDMs in negotiations with key partners across functions.
- Optimize territory and routing efficiency; track competitor moves and surface market insights for broader strategy.
- Act as the first point of escalation for the RSM team, resolving local issues quickly.
- Taste food from a variety of high‑quality establishments, attend restaurant and food meet‑ups, and enjoy the restaurant scene.
Number priority restaurants signed each month in your region.
Additional Goals Include- Onboarding excellence and upsells – e.g., maximizing commercial opportunity, selling‑in marketing packages at launch, menu completeness at go‑live.
- Time spent giving feedback and training to more junior team members on their sales performance.
- Comfortable with targeting new business and have sales experience.
- 5+ years of sales and commercial experience.
- Experience managing a team and ensuring they hit targets.
- Negotiator able to structure win‑win deals for restaurants and Deliveroo.
- Commercially knowledgeable about the economics of food delivery.
- Demonstrated product and industry knowledge to clients.
- Aspiring leader who can influence colleagues and manage cross‑functional initiatives.
- Ownership and ability to work within demanding targets.
- Interest in food and restaurants.
- Tenacious and motivated.
- Live within assigned region.
- UK Driving Licence and a car.
- Fluent in Mandarin.
