About this role
Are you a welcoming, smiley person with great interpersonal skills and an eye for detail? We are looking for a part‑time, term‑time only administration officer to cover a maternity leave within our office admin team. This role would suit someone with a background in administration, who perhaps needs flexible working. Full training will be given for all aspects of the role, along with a week of shadowing the permanent post holder, but experience of using Bromcom Management of Information System would be a benefit.
Key responsibilities- Work in the school office to support the School Secretary with day‑to‑day operational tasks such as answering the phone, responding to emails and filing.
- Work under the direction of the Head of School and Wrap Around Care Manager to manage bookings and payments for clubs and childcare using the Bromcom system (support and training is available from within the Federation admin team for anyone who has not used the system before).
- Undertake a 30‑minute lunch duty on a daily basis.
- Shares our caring ethos, where happiness is prioritised.
- Is committed to playing their part to help every child achieve their full potential.
- Has great communication skills both written and verbal.
- Is confident in using IT such as Microsoft Office.
- Can form positive professional relationships with parents and staff and represent the school and its values as the first point of contact for many families.
- Ideally has some previous experience working in a school or in an admin role.
- Is willing to undertake training, particularly with regard to using our MIS system.
The post will be for approximately 25 hrs a week during term time. There is some flexibility with hours Mon – Thu but the general working pattern would be
- Mon – Thu 9:00 – 13:30
- Fri 8:30 – 16:00 (covering the school secretary role)
