Position: Welcome Desk and Events Assistant

This role will also be based on the university campus. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

The Lifelong Learning Centre is an academic school and a specialist support service working with mature, part-time, and foundation-level learners. The Centre’s aim is to widen participation from groups that are under-represented in higher education.

You will provide high quality customer service as part of the front‑desk team by welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries. You will work closely with colleagues in ensuring the smooth‑running of the Centre, providing support for general office duties such as booking appointments, maintaining communal areas and assisting with the planning and staffing of events.

You will be committed to providing an excellent level of customer service. You will contribute to maintaining our Customer Service Excellence (CSE) accreditation, be a positive team player and manage your own workload. You will have excellent administrative skills, be a confident user of IT and must demonstrate willingness to learn new skills. You should have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with others, as well as being able to work independently and should possess strong organisational skills to manage your workload priorities.
