Position: Receptionist (Care Navigator)

Overview

Receptionist (Care Navigator) role dsor House Group Practice is a large GP Practice with three sites in Leeds (Morley, Churwell and Drighlington). The role primarily works at Windsor House Surgery, Morley, with the expectation that the successful candidate would work at one of the other surgeries as required.

Working location:
Windsor House Surgery (Morley).

Working Hours:

2 days per week on a rota.

Week 1
Monday 7:45am to 12:45pm
Tuesday 12:45pm to 6:00pm
Wednesday 7:45am to 12:45pm
Thursday 12:45pm to 6:00pm
Friday 7:45am to 12:45pm

Week 2
Monday 12:45pm to 6:00pm
Tuesday 7:45am to 12:45pm
Wednesday 12:45pm to 6:00pm
Thursday 7:45am to 12:45pm
Friday 7:45am to 12:45pm

Salary: £13.18 per hour inc NHS pension scheme, yearly bonus.

Contract:

Permanent. Working pattern:
Part-time.

Job responsibilities
  • Provide an efficient reception service to patients and assist in providing a comprehensive administrative service.
  • Provide an efficient initial advice and guidance service for patients of the practice making enquiries around the services provided.
  • Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
  • Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
  • Be the focal first point within the practice for patients and visitors; project a positive and friendly image at all times, either in person or via the telephone.
Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Essential
  • 4 GCSEs (grades A*-C) including English and Mathematics
  • Customer care/end user support training
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Desirable
  • OCR Word processing or equivalent
  • Experience of using Systm One
  • ECDL

Skills & Abilities

  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Able to use Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to communicate clearly, concisely and diplomatically at all levels over the telephone and face to face
  • Able to work accurately
  • Able to deal with telephone enquiries and take messages when appropriate
  • Able to undertake routine office duties such as filing, photocopying, laminating, binding etc.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Basic IT skills (Desirable)

Experience

  • Essential
  • Experience of using office equipment (photocopier, fax, etc) and Microsoft Office packages
  • Minimum of 2 years admin/office systems experience
  • Experience of using Systm One
  • Experience of working in a GP practice
