At Leeds United, we know that success on the pitch starts with strength behind the scenes. The Assistant Club Secretary will work with integrity, exercising judgement and initiative in providing a full range of administrative support services to the Head of Football Administration.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting with all aspects of football administration across the club, including contracts, changes, and managing loan invoicing.
- Lead the Chairman’s Suite and Directors Box on matchday, being a consistent key contact for executives and visiting guests.
- Liaise with football governing bodies (EFL, Premier League, FA, FIFA, etc.) to ensure the club complies with all rules and regulations, including monitoring approvals for registrations and player conditions.
- Maintain player contingent tracking for loan, sold, and current players (UK and international), uploading payments to iFAS and TMS, and managing the core database for player contract terms and P11d usage.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion, attending and contributing to committee meetings and completing follow‑up actions by agreed deadlines.
- Work closely with the finance department to facilitate payments and invoices to players, clubs, and agents, and assist with the coordination of pre‑season friendlies, signings, and related documentation.
- Provide primary liaison for the Chairman’s Suite and Directors Box on matchday, ensuring an enhanced experience at Elland Road.
- Must have experience in professional football management and administration at another club or sporting organisation, using relevant databases such as IFAS, TMS or similar.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in law, business administration, football business or a related field is preferred but not essential.
- Must have experience working with senior stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
- High‑level knowledge and experience using the Microsoft suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adaptable and able to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of the football landscape.
