This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role located in Horsforth, Leeds. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax returns, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling financial discrepancies, and providing valuable financial insights to support client decision‑making. Strong time management and attention to detail are essential in this role as you work closely with clients from various industries.

• ACA or ACCA qualified (willing to take Part Qualified if the right fit)
• Proficiency in financial management, accounting, and bookkeeping practices, including preparing financial statements and reconciling accounts
• Knowledge of tax preparation, tax compliance, and understanding of UK tax regulations
• Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools such as Quick Books, Xero, or similar platforms
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Effective communication and client relationship management skills
• Experience working in an accounting practice
• As we are based in the suburbs of Leeds, a driving licence and car would be beneficial.

• Preparation of self‑assessment tax returns
• Preparation of annual and corporation accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Handle HMRC queries and correspondence
• General admin tasks as and when required
• Management of client financial records and bookkeeping
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone and email
