Position: Accountancy (Permanent)
A well-established independent accountancy practice based in Otley is seeking an experienced General Practice Accountant to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys working closely with SMEs, owner-managed businesses and local entrepreneurs, providing hands-on support and trusted advice.

The Role
Managing your own portfolio of clients across a range of sectors

Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

Producing management accounts and VAT returns

Preparing personal and corporate tax returns

Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships

Supporting and reviewing junior staff where appropriate

The Candidate
ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience

Previous experience within an accountancy practice is essential

Confident managing client relationships independently

Proficient with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, Quick Books)

Organised, personable and commercially aware
