Leeds Hybrid working Salary up to £45,000

Why this role exists

This is a growth hire within the Business Services team at this top 20 Firm's Leeds office. The team continues to expand its SME client base and needs an experienced Accounting Senior to support delivery and quality across accounts, tax and compliance work.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing draft statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Producing draft business tax computations for review
• Handling VAT returns, bookkeeping and management accounts for a varied client portfolio
• Assisting with filing accounts and corporate tax returns
• Raising queries and working closely with Assistant Managers and Managers

What success looks like

• Clean, well-prepared accounts ready for review
• Good judgement on queries and issues before they escalate
• Reliable delivery to deadlines across multiple clients
• A collaborative approach within a fast-moving team

What they're looking for

• AAT, ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified (or qualified by experience)
• Experience in an accountancy practice environment
• Comfortable managing deadlines and competing priorities
• Organised, proactive, and happy to muck in as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence
