Position: Bookkeeper (Permanent)
Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for your next step within a friendly, growing accountancy practice? Do you enjoy working with numbers, take pride in accuracy, and feel confident using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Quick Books and Sage?

You’ll play a key role in managing client financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely reporting across a varied portfolio.

The Role

As Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality bookkeeping services to clients, from day-to-day processing through to VAT preparation and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

* Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero, Quick Books and Sage

* Providing monthly bookkeeping services for clients

* Reconciling bank statements

* Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns

* Handling bookkeeping queries and general administration

* Building strong, professional relationships with clients

* Supporting compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards

* Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure accurate data entry and reporting

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring solid bookkeeping experience and a proactive, organised approach.

You will ideally have:

* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role

* A strong understanding of accounting principles and UK VAT legislation

* Proficiency in Xero, Quick Books and Sage (other cloud-based systems beneficial)

* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

* The ability to work independently as well as part of a team

* Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
