Service Technician – Diesel/Heavy Equipment
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician specializing in the maintenance and repair of tractors and/or compact construction equipment. You will be paid a competitive wage with the opportunity to earn a monthly bonus based on your performance!
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with a strong background in diagnosing and servicing diesel-powered machinery, including tractors, skid steers, excavators, wheel loaders, and other John Deere equipment. This role requires expertise in diesel equipment repair and diesel engine maintenance. Candidates with experience in heavy equipment diesel repair and farm equipment maintenance are highly encouraged to apply.
Major Functions and Scope:
Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural, outdoor power, or commercial worksite equipment as needed.Performs repairs on agricultural equipment, outdoor power equipment, and commercial worksite products as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.Participates in all job-related training and development. Prepares reports and forms related to work orders.Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and other products sold or serviced by Tri Green.Ensures safe and proper operation of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.Knowledge, Experience, Competencies, and Supervision:
Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in repairing outdoor power, agricultural, and commercial equipment.Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.High School Diploma or GED;
Associate's degree from an Ag Tech program is preferred.Ability to work weekends and holidays.Familiarity with John Deere and other products sold and serviced by Tri Green.Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems related to agriculture and outdoor power equipment.Physical ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds; tasks may include lifting, bending, squatting, standing for prolonged periods, and sitting.Tri Green offers an excellent benefits package, including BC/BS health insurance, Guardian dental and vision, 401K with company match, paid holidays, vacation, and more!
