We’re looking for a talented Bookkeeper to join our Accounting Team in Ledyard, CT.
Responsibilities- Process payroll through third party.
- Enter data and formulate employee expense reports using cost accounting software.
- Produce basic accounting reports relating to accounts payable/receivable.
- Process and reconcile corporate credit card statements.
- Learn to use customized financial software to produce accounting reports relating to cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable/receivable.
- Act as a backup to prepare purchase orders, as well as backup to ship and track orders.
- Act as a backup for Receptionist as needed.
- Work with the team to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- High school graduate required;
Associate degree in accounting/business administration preferred. - 5 years of accounting experience involving a variety of duties.
- Good understanding of debits, credits, and overall accounting knowledge.
- Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office as well as more complex accounting software. Project based accounting software such as Costpoint, Unanet, or Procas a plus.
- General Office duties including file management, shipping/receiving and phones.
- Detail oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing internal and external customer service.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Openness to help others on the team with new projects and other initiatives as the company grows.
