We’re looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to grow our Accounting Team in Ledyard, CT.

Responsibilities
  • Processing and reconciliation of monthly credit card statements.
  • Assist in performing monthly and year end closes.
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial statements to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Review the work of other team members for accuracy and compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.
  • Train as backup for other department duties such as Accounts Payable, Payroll and Expense Reporting.
  • Document processes and procedures of job duties.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Degree in accounting/business administration required.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience involving a variety of duties.
  • Understanding of debits, credits, and overall accounting knowledge.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, as well as more complex accounting software. Project based accounting software such as Costpoint, Unanet, or PROCAS a plus.
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing internal and external customer service.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Openness to help others on the team with new projects and other initiatives as the company grows.
