Our Part Time Gig associates are eligible to receive weekly pay bonuses, employee discounts, student incentive pay, access to employee gym, and offers the opportunity to move into a full-time positions in the future.
This position is a great fit for anyone who has experience or is interested in logistics and distribution fields. This position will be given thorough hands-on training.
"Gig" Part‑time associates are expected to participate in the daily activities and operations of the Journeys Distribution Center.
Expectations- Stand, bend, stoop, and walk on concrete and grated floors for the entirety of your shift, lift up to 45 lbs. and climb stairs.
- Being reliable and consistent with your schedule and work hours.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Help keep the warehouse clean and safe.
- Utilize a hand‑held computer for various functions and departments.
- Perform multiple tasks within the warehouse that could vary daily, weekly and monthly.
As a Gig employee you will be able to customize your schedule to flexible hours and days that work best for your needs. Gig employees are even able to trade, offer, and cancel their 4‑hour work shifts as needed with manager approval.
Typical Jobs- Picking – Pickers follow instructions given to them via a handheld scanning computer and go to various "locations" throughout the warehouse to place product into cartons that are then shipped to customers and stores.
- Replenishment – Replenishers refill the locations that Pickers take product from, ensuring there is enough product in each "location" to be able to send out every day.
- Receiving – The receiving team work together to unload trailers and organize the boxes of product onto pallets.
- Shipping – A shipper's job is to load trailer with product that will be going to our customers and stores.
- High School or better.
