Press Brake Operator (Manufacturing)

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for processing quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating and performing simple programming of a press brake.

• Equipment Preparation
  :
  Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.
• Quality Assurance
  :
  Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first‑piece and in‑process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed.
• Training
  :
  Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.
• Machine Operation
  :
  Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions made and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary.
• Operational Maintenance
  :
  Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in‑process materials, and finished goods. Report needed changes.
• Preventative Maintenance
  :
  Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs.
• Safety and Cleanliness
  :
  Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Team Collaboration
  :
  Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re‑assignments as directed by supervisors.
• Other Duties
  :
  Perform other duties as assigned to support production goals and team objectives.

• Instruction Following
  :
  Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Reading and Comprehension
  :
  Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic Math
  :
  Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Education
  :
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Measuring Devices
  :
  Knowledge of using measuring devices.
• Computer Skills
  :
  Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Work Orders
  :
  Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Physical Examination
  :
  Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Reliability
  :
  Demonstrated reliable work history.
• Attention to Detail
  :
  Must be detail‑oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.
