Responsibilities
- Technical Analysis:
Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and proposals to prepare comprehensive quantity takeoffs and labor/cost estimates. - Quote Management:
Manage the full RFQ (Request for Quote) lifecycle for contractors and individual customers, ensuring all bids are professional and submitted on schedule. - Strategic Pricing:
Secure competitive resale pricing from vendors and verify that all project quotes align with company profitability parameters. - Systems & Accuracy:
Input detailed takeoff data into our ERP system for precise quote generation, including necessary qualifiers and technical notes to mitigate project risk. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to confirm project feasibility and streamline the transition from bid to build. - Regulatory Compliance:
Research regional and municipal requirements to ensure all precast structural bids remain compliant with local building codes and standards. - Performance Reporting:
Generate and analyze monthly sales statistics and quantitative metrics to track performance and identify growth opportunities. - Supplier Networking:
Collaborate with Supply Chain to develop and maintain a high-quality supplier network that provides competitive pricing for resale items.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
Industry
Experience:
3+ years of recent experience in construction and/or bidding.
Manufacturing Background:
At least 1 year of experience in production or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
Software Proficiency:
Experience with Excel, SAP, Titan, or Stack It (or other CRM/ERP and estimating software) is highly preferred.
Technical
Skills:
Proven ability to accurately interpret civil drawings and project specifications.

Strong mathematical aptitude for calculating precise material quantities and labor costs
