Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic, goal oriented and team player to join our team as a Physical Therapist.
PT will be working one-on-one and as part of a team with rehabilitation patients in our in-patient subacute facility. Candidate will be exposed to the latest rehabilitation approaches and equipment, providing an excellent opportunity for those pursuing direct patient care and physical therapy.
Responsibilities- Provides patient treatments which meet patient needs and uses current treatment knowledge in accordance with clinical procedures.
- Writes accurate, complete, and clear documentation in accordance regulatory, licensing, payor, and accrediting requirements
- Consistently demonstrates facility interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Contributes to professional development of self and others.
- Aids in building and maintaining facility’s reputation as an unparalleled provider of rehab to the elderly by contribution as a professional member of the staff.
- Demonstrates safe working practices.
- Knowledge of Physical Therapy evaluation and treatment techniques.
- Able to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
- Understanding the principles of physical modalities employed in Physical Therapy.
- Knowledge of use of prosthetic devices, ambulatory aides, assistive and resistive devices, and training.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to work with all types and levels of patients.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Current Physical Therapist Registration/State Licensure
- Must be able to lift and transfer patients to and from all surfaces a minimum of 10 times per day.
- Must be able to lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day.
- Must be proficient with use of hands for repetitive grasping, pushing-pulling, and fine motor manipulation.
- PT will spend approximately 60-80% of time bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching while working with therapy patients
- PT may spend approximately 60-80% of time standing/walking.
- PT should be knowledgeable in and exercise good body mechanics during patient treatment.
