Reporting to the Director of Platform Electronics, the Electronics Lab Manager will manage the activities and resources of the Electronics Lab within the Platform Electronics group to ensure support is provided to meet the department and company goals. The Electronics Lab Manager will coordinate with Platform Electronics staff and other internal customers to develop test plans for electronic controls, communications devices and other electronic components.
The incumbent will implement policies and procedures to maintain product compliance.
- Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of safety agency experience
- 2+ years of technical supervisory experience
- Deep understanding of EMC test standards and radio product test standards, as well as prior experience performing EMC testing on such items.
- First-hand experience with and knowledge of electronic product design.
- Experience interfacing with certification and accreditation bodies, including prior experience as a contributor to EMC standard organizations.

- Excellent analytical, communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated experience and effectiveness in sharing knowledge and technically mentoring less-experienced co-workers.
- Broad enough expertise to include familiarity with the global scope of EMC and radio product test standards and practices
- First-hand experience testing a wide range of DUTs for radiated emissions / immunity (RE/RI), conducted emissions / immunity (CE/CI), transient, and RF testing
- EMC product test failure analysis tools and techniques.
- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must demonstrate excellent leadership skills and the ability to lead project work in a team environment.
Baccalaureate
Master s Degree in Related Field or Engineering
