Job Details:

• Work night shifts 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week

• Weekend coverage required, likely every other weekend

• Patient ratio of 6:1 on nights, 5:1 on days and weekends

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required

• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA or ARC only)

• Epic charting system experience required

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Must float to all medical-surgical floors and potentially rehabilitation unit

• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF exacerbations, respiratory illness, arrhythmias, general surgery, orthopedic conditions, COPD, and sepsis

• Handle post-cardiac catheterization and post-MI patients

• Manage telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation

• Experience with chest tubes, tracheostomy care, IV insulin protocols, blood product administration, and wound care required

• Work with special equipment including virtual nurses and virtual sitters

• Complete 8 hours of orientation and 5-6 hours of pre-start modules

• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract

• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility

This healthcare facility operates a 35-bed medical-surgical telemetry unit with a daily census of 25-30 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services. The unit occasionally cares for stable post-operative cardiac surgery patients and offers specialized services for stroke patients and peritoneal dialysis. The facility maintains modern technology including virtual nursing capabilities and emphasizes a clean, tobacco and fragrance-free environment for optimal patient care.
