This contract position is an on-site role that offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality care to women throughout their pregnancy and childbirth experiences.
As a Locum CNM, you will play a crucial role in our medical practice, delivering comprehensive midwifery care while collaborating closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals. Your expertise will help ensure that our patients receive the best possible support during their maternity journey. This role is not only about providing care but also about making a significant impact on the health and well-being of mothers and infants in our community.
Responsibilities- Provide prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to patients
- Perform routine physical examinations and assessments
- Educate patients and families on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare providers
- Monitor the health and progress of patients throughout their pregnancy
- Assist in labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and supportive environment
- Manage complications and provide emergency care when necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
- Current certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
- Previous experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Knowledge of current best practices in midwifery care
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care

24-hour beeper call

Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
Annual Volume: 200 deliveries
Clinic, call, and OR coverage

Board certification is required
