The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location.

Job Summary
This is a College of Graduate Nursing Faculty-level position within Western University of Health Science and is offered in conjunction with an administrative appointment. Together, the faculty role of Assistant Professor of Graduate Nursing (PCN F03301) and the administrative role (PCN A03955) comprise a full-time position (1.0 FTE). The salary range listed in this posting represents the total compensation for the combined Administrative and Faculty responsibilities.

Serve as a member of the faculty for the College of Graduate Nursing, and teach in the CGN programs, participate in college and university committees, conduct scholarly research, and perform other such duties as directed by the Site Dean or Dean of the College.
Skills and Abilities
Expertise and knowledge of nursing and advanced practice of nursing. Ability to design, implement and evaluate courses, lectures and seminars and evaluate student achievement. Knowledge of basic and advanced clinical skills required of nurses in multiple settings. Maintain accurate records and reports of clinical and didactic performance of students. Ability to communicate with a variety of health professionals that contribute to the clinical/didactic education of nursing students.
Work effectively with colleagues, staff and administration to advance the mission of the institution. Demonstrate basic computer literacy and skills in emerging teaching technologies. Willingness to remain flexible and adapt to the changing technological advancements associated with a web-based curriculum. Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
- Education: Must possess a Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time teaching experience in Nursing. State board of nursing approved for teaching in a required subject area.
- Licensure: Must possess a current RN license.
- Education: A doctorate in Nursing or related field.
- Experience: Two years teaching in nursing education.
