Overview
General
Purpose:
Responsible for all daily accounting tasks, including but not limited to transactional activity within Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and the General Ledger. The Staff Accountant performs relevant administrative duties with strong attention to detail, ensuring that all transactional activities run smoothly. This position reports to the Sr. Staff Accountant on site.
- Assist in the accurate recordkeeping and maintenance of all financial recordkeeping activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with weekly payroll processing and reporting.
- Perform account reconciliations, analyses, and journal entries.
- Coordinate transactional activities such as expense recording and billings.
- Provide job accounting assistance with Project Managers.
- Assist in the tactical execution of financial projects and deliverables.
- Partner with operations day-to-day to assist with procedures and administrative tasks.
- Engage with customers and vendors to resolve accounting issues.
- Assist with Human Resources and payroll initiatives.
- Assist in conducting month-end and year-end closures.
- Prepare audit documentation.
- Collaborate with the Sr. Staff Accountant to improve financial processes.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or Finance is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
- Self-starter with demonstrated initiative.
- Excellent use of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Travel is limited in this role to the possibility of traveling annually to the corporate office location in Pittsburgh, PA.

Physical RequirementsWill regularly sit; use of hands/fingers; talk/hear. Will occasionally stand, walk, grasp, reach with hands/arms, bend/stoop/kneel/squat/crawl. Lift up to 10 lbs. Near vision. Ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentWill regularly be in an office with ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment typical of an office environment. Moderate noise level.
